My preferred method of note taking and adventure building is a mind map. Most tools do the journaling and hyperlinked pages quite well but see mind maps second. Love your approach so much. It sets you apart and fits my style so much better.

Map adventures, campaigns, or entire worlds as connected elements: locations, NPCs, clues, events, and plot points. See how everything links together and spot opportunities instantly.
Switch seamlessly between visual planning and detailed writing. Use full-screen focus mode or a resizable editor window that lives right on your board to edit text while keeping your visual elements in view.
Customize every element with colors, images, icons, and shapes. Pin readable content cards directly on the board to keep your notes always in view. Make your workspace match your world.
Place points of interest on any image and link them directly to your content. Turn a dungeon floor plan, a city district, or a hand-drawn continent into an interactive layer of your module. Map creation requires Patreon support, and shared maps are fully interactive for everyone.
Transform any element into reusable templates, from individual NPCs to entire adventures. Build a growing collection of custom content that evolves with your creative style.
Create fully customizable random tables and link them to any element. Roll for encounters, treasure, NPCs, or anything else during prep or at the table.
Browse thousands of human-made icons and images to spark creativity or bring your content to life. Patreon supporters can also upload their own maps, portraits, and artwork.
From a single adventure to an entire campaign world, Alkemion Studio grows with your ambitions.
Group any number of modules under a shared campaign or world, with a common library of assets and the ability to search across all of them at once. Jump between them directly from the board.
Save named shortcuts to specific areas of your board and jump to them with a single click. Set a default opening view so every module starts exactly where the action is.
Advanced features that grow with your needs
Add descriptive text, directional arrows, and distinct visual styles to every connection. Create multiple separate relationships between the same two elements, each with its own meaning.
Create tags with their own colors, icons, and display styles to categorize and find anything at a glance. Build reusable tag sets and apply them across multiple modules in a single step.
Easily reference any element within your writing, making it simple to navigate and maintain consistency across your entire module.
Switch to a table view of your entire module to sort, filter, and review all your content at once. A different lens, built for moments when you need structure more than visuals.

Focus on creativity, not on remembering to save. Every change is captured automatically so your ideas are never lost.

Full functionality across desktop, tablet, and phone with an interface that adapts perfectly to any screen size.

Share your work through private links for players or a co-GM to explore. You can also let them make their own copy to use as a starting point for their own sessions.

Export as PDFs, Obsidian-compatible Markdown, HTML, or plain text. Perfect for printing handouts, bridging to your note-taking tools, or archiving your work.

Upload your own maps, character portraits, and artwork and access them across all your modules. Available to Patreon supporters.

Every module comes with a built-in scratch space for notes, reminders, and anything you want to capture mid-prep. Always there, never in the way.

This is exactly what I was searching for so long! I already have a world created in a written form and was heavily wondering, how I could turn it into a visual landscape. Thank you for your creation, you eased my life as a creator enormously!
It's like having a mind map and a notebook that actually work together. The tools guide you toward good practices, but they're flexible enough to adapt to whatever creative challenge you're facing.
I just wanted to say, what you guys are building is excellent, and has brought back an enthusiasm to create worlds that I thought was long lost.
I've been using Alkemion for about two or three weeks now, and I've been in love with the tool so far. I'm planning to migrate all of my planning into it.
So far I'm super impressed with the interface, how smooth and intuitive everything feels.
I really love how Alkemion changed along time, every update feels like you improve/fix exactly what we need.
So far I'm seriously impressed with the amount of thought that's gone into this. Definitely a tool that needs just diving in and playing around to understand what it can do.
Been using Alkemion for a few days now, got so much lore down in this short time its amazing, really happy with this app! […] The whole thing is just visually pleasing to me, that helps me wanna continue sitting down and getting down all the lore.
I joined the patreon after I think 5 minutes of playing around and on mobile no less. Amazing product, I love the plethora of features already in there.
